!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , I was allowed back into school for the first time in a month today, for the purpose of 3D printing masks for the local hospital, as well as a local senior center.
My two Makerbots are chugging along nicely. They both are looking like this right now.
I also have three SeeMeCNC Orion printers, which have proven to be useless. This surprises me, not at all. This is the “good” one.
The second one turned out this mess before I cancelled it.
The third one broke shortly before this whole virus mess, so I didn’t even bother with it. Unfortunately their bed is too small to be any good to even print ear guards.
My routine for the foreseeable future will be to come to school in the morning, start the Makerbots, do my E-learning thing, and then do some shop work. The prints take just over 8 hours, so once the morning prints are done. I’ll pull them off, and start them working again on the next set to work at night, then go home.
It’ll be kind of like having a real job again.

The quality of those SeeMeCNCs are...ummm, more questionable than my judgement in either booze or women.
Good for You for helping out. My district is avoiding making those as if we were gonna get sued. Having said that I'm sure tomorrow I'll get ordered in!

This is quite true!
I’m happy to be doing something productive. And also happy to have access to my shop again! We need to talk offline about some stuff that’s gone down in the last couple days.

So what filters are these going to use? Will the exhaust be filtered? I’m actually about to head into the grocery store now....

The exhaust will be filtered, but we’re not supplying the filters. I’m printing the files that the hospital requested.

Hell yeah. This is the best! You are doing the essential work. Seriously.

Thanks! I’m happy to do my small part.
